Account Manager (US)

I. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager for US is a sales-oriented position that requires self-direction, substantial client relations experience, and supervisory skills. This position works closely with other Account Managers, and the rest of the Sales - Operations team members to attain sales targets in the geographic region assigned. The position’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) incubating more opportunities with existing clients by further cultivating relationships with these accounts, 2) expanding dataSpring’s clientele by converting prospects to clients, and 3) securing repeat business from new clients by ensuring that all their needs and demands are satisfied.

 

II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Account Management Activities:

  1. Conducts pre-sales and post-sales activities such as providing information about our products/services and answering questions and inquiries related to our products/services
  2. Works with other Account and Business Development Managers in sales lead generation activities and in maintaining a database of qualified sales leads.
  3. Handles issues regarding the product or service and works with Sales - Operations team in developing and delivering bid proposals to clients.
  4. Ensures client satisfaction and retention
  5. Assists the Sales - Operations Team with project management by setting deadlines, defining scope, and accomplishing project deliveries within approved budget
  6. Takes initiative and responsibility in monitoring bids and projects' status by performing follow-up calls/emails to clients
  7. Develops sales plans (i.e. rate cards, partnership deals & agreements, etc.) to generate more revenue from key accounts and coordinates with the Operations Team Lead in implementing them
  8. Maintains regular communication with existing clients thru emails, calls, and/or face-to-face contacts to solicit service feedback, address issues, and ensure high level of client satisfaction
  9. Communicates client feedback effectively and works with Sales - Operations Team Lead in resolving all outstanding issues related to speed and service quality

Business Development Activities:

  1. Undertakes market research for potential clients (leads and prospects) and provides this information to Management
  2. Assists Management in analyzing results of sales efforts, suggesting adjustments as necessary to improve business results and achieve success
  3. Provides accurate, timely, and regular reports to Management
  4. Represents the company professionally at various industry trade shows and conferences to increase brand awareness for dataSpring and ensure that ROI is achieved

General Management Activities:

  1. Manages Risk by constantly identifying financial and other risks to dataSpring and reports these quickly and accurately to superior / Management
  2. Upholds the core values by understanding, communicating, and providing a good example of Springer to members, Clients and the community at large

General Activities:

  1. Maintains the good public image of the Company
  2. Functions as a cooperative and active member of weekly Account Management and Team meetings
  3. Prudently manages resources within budgetary guidelines to ensure profit
  4. Completes other administrative work as required (e.g. suggest supplies and job tools needed for Sales - Operations) and acts as an active team player
  5. Contribute to entire dataSpring (and, or other local offices), besides the tasks assigned above

III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • This is an office environment and typical physical demands apply.
  • Must be open to working flexible hours particularly in the night / US shift  in order to communicate efficiently with Global clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Above average written and verbal communications skills in English are required in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, partners, clients and other parties.
  • Highly analytical and with innovative mind-set
  • Must have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and show dedication to client services and business development
  • Passion with technology, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and various sales-management software, creation of sales decks, and presentations and proficiency in  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is a must
  • Ability to get along well with different personalities and to work well in small teams is required
  • Must be self driven and with proven self-leadership skills
  • Experience dealing with other cultures and diverse work environments is required
  • Must have professionalism, passion to succeed, and a motivation to reach higher goals
  • Must have an experience in providing and strategizing solution-oriented proposals to the client
  • Ability to participate in sales bid conceptualizations and brainstorming and overall sales and operations support to clients

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's/College Degree is required
  • At least 2 Years of Account Assistant or Account Management experience in the Market Research (panel selling field experience is an advantage); or must have at least 2 years experience as Senior Project Coordinator
